GOWANDA - The seventh inning decided a Division 1 girls softball game with Kaytlin Haines driving in the go-ahead run for Jamestown in a contest shifted to Gowanda with Jamestown the home team because of unplayable conditions at the Martin Road Complex.
Haines singled in the winning run in the last of the seventh inning to score the tie-breaking run as Jamestown (3-4, 3-8) edged the Lady Panthers, 6-5.
The rally started when McKenzie Martin and Jessica Pace singled with Courtney Elardo pinch running for Martin. Then Elardo scored the winning run on Haines' hit.
Haines had an RBI triple and finished with two RBIs while scoring twice for the Lady Red Raiders.
Martin scattered 10 hits with no walks and a strikeout for Jamestown.
Lexi Farner stroked three hits, one a triple, for Gowanda.
