To the Readers' Forum:
Our state gasoline tax rate, at this time, is 49 cents per gallon. This makes New York the highest in the nation. California is 48.6 cents per gallon, which makes them number two. Pennsylvania is number 15 at 32.3 cents per gallon.
Also, according to an article in The Post-Journal on April 6, we will also be number one in 2013 for cash welfare benefits. Just in this year alone, there will be a raise on July 1 and one on Oct. 1.
Remember to thanks everyone in the Democratic-controlled State Legislature, there in Albany for making us number one in these areas.
