Celebration

Senior Day Program Marks Member’s Special Day

April 30, 2012
The Post-Journal

The Westfield Senior Day Program of the Chautauqua Adult Day Care Centers Inc. recently celebrated the 98th birthday of one of its participants, Jennie Vilardo.

The party consisted of coconut cream pie, chocolate pie and parfaits. The strawberry and blueberry parfaits were donated by fellow participant Betty Horn and the Westfield Senior Day Program Volunteer of the year, Laurie Horn. The participants of the day program all wrote loving birthday messages to their friend, Jennie. Jennie was thrilled that she got to celebrate her 98th birthday with loved ones and friends and all who attended had a great time.

Chautauqua Adult Day Care Centers Inc., a not-for-profit United Way agency, offers affordable Senior Day Programs for adults 60 years of age and older who live in the community. The agency has four sites that serve all of Chautauqua County. The programs provide socialization and offer many opportunities for older adults to participate in activities during the day in a caring friendly atmosphere with supportive staff and companionship.
