After-Prom Group To Meet Sunday
FALCONER - A final wrap-up meeting for the Falconer After-Prom Committee will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Darcie Cramer's house. The group needs pictures for all the juniors and seniors for their collages. Anyone who has not turned them in must do so. Upcoming dates include decorating at the school at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, and Thursday, May 10, and all day Friday, May 11. There is no need to sign up for the work days. Anyone interested is welcome to participate. Those planning to help at the After-Prom Party should sign up with Rosie Digirolamo by May 9. Anyone who has made up baskets should send them in by May 4. Audubon Gala Deadline Monday
Monday is the deadline for reservations for the Audubon Center and Sanctuary's third annual Flight of Spring Gala Dinner and Auction. The event will be held Friday, May 4, at the Conewango Club in Warren, Pa., and will include a field to fork dinner of local delicacies, live music, giveaways and live and silent auctions. Tickets are $50 or $95 for two. Reservations can be made by calling Audubon at 569-2345 or emailing info@jamestownaudubon.org. American Legion To Meet Friday
LAKEWOOD - The April meeting of the Chautauqua County American Legion will be held Friday at the Lakewood Memorial Post 1286 starting at 8 p.m. All Legionnaires are urged to attend this meeting.
Cub Scouts To Hold Food Drive
CASSADAGA - Cassadaga Cub Scout Pack 219 and Cassadaga Boy Scout Troop 219 will hold their annual Scouting for Food drive starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. Donations will be deposited at the Cassadaga Food Pantry.
United Methodist To Hold Sale
LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood United Methodist Church will host a "spring sale" from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Clothing for all seasons will be available, also shoes, books, household and a bake sale.
City Roads To Be Closed Monday
The Jamestown Department of Public Works will close Lakeview Avenue from Buffalo Street to Newton Avenue beginning Monday until further notice for road reconstruction. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes of travel and to use extra caution while driving near the construction area.
Tom Reed To Begin Campaign
U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, will kick off his re-election campaign at 8 a.m. Monday in the Sarita Weeks Conference Room in the Arts and Science Building at Jamestown Community College. The public is welcome to attend.
Cornell Co-Op To Meet Monday
Due to inclement weather, the Cornell Cooperative Extension - Chautauqua County board meeting originally scheduled for Monday has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, at the Franklin W. Bratt Agricultural Center in Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
