Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, in the Lakewood Rec Center. Dee Johnson, Nancy Miller, Betty and Leroy McCray, Romaine Gustafson and Win Frakson will be the committee. Entertainment will be provided by Southwest Central School children. Members attending should take one dozen cookies each. Payment must also be made for the next trip.
The seniors met in the Busti Fire Hall recently for a spring dinner catered by Miley's.
Don and Gale Keller, visitors, were welcomed.
The thought for the day and blessing were given by Ms. Miller. Evior Keller led the flag salute and song. Theresa Perrin, president, opened the meeting. Reports by Pennie Harvey, secretary, and Joanne Osborn, treasurer, were read. Yarn for knitters is available from Charlotte Johnson. Cecilia Wilson will act as historian on a temporary basis. A donation was received from the Lakewood Auxiliary for mailing coupons.
Discussion was on the need of two more groups from the Golden Agers for senior trivia day on May 10 in the North Harmony Senior Center, sponsored by the United Senior Council. For information regarding teams, contact Connie Whitman.
