Police Searching For Female Suspect In Clymer Heist

CLYMER - Police are looking for a woman with a bag of cash.

New York State Police officers and Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union located at 562 Clymer-Sherman Road in Clymer.

According to reports from the police scanner, a woman in her late 20s described as having a small build, between 5 feet, 2 inches and 5 feet, 4 inches, weighing approximately 130 pounds walked into the credit union in Clymer at about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday and showed a bank teller a note demanding money.

The robber was described as wearing a red and dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, work boots and sunglasses. She didn't show a weapon, according to reports on the police scanner. She was also described as possibly having "fake" facial hair. There was no description of the getaway vehicle, though she was believed to have fled north. Deputies are searching the Clymer area first.
