A city man faces armed robbery charges after two separate incidents in the city Tuesday. Carlos J. Torres, 32, was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery after holding up two Wilson Farms stores, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
At about 6:40 p.m. an unknown black or Hispanic male entered the Wilson Farms at 1011 E. Second St. and demanded cash from the cashier while brandishing a weapon. The subject fled the scene and was last seen running through the lot across from the old Dahlstroms Building.
At that time, the JPD released a surveillance photo of the suspect.
Then at about 9:09 p.m., officers responded to a report of a second armed robbery at the Wilson Farms at 518 N. Main St. Police were able to locate the suspect matching the description a short time later after he was seen leaving a Jamestown residence.
Torres is currently behind held in Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment on the charges.
