Melissa Lynn Smith and Adam Robert Cox announce their engagement.
Miss Smith is the daughter of Jeanne Baker of South Dayton, N.Y., and Alfred Smith of Jamestown, N.Y. Her fiance is the son of Robert ''Wally'' and Donna Cox of Leon, N.Y.
They are both graduates of Pine Valley Central School.
