Senior Report To Host Rotary Club

Senior Report with Reed Powers will have representatives of the Mayville/Westfield Rotary Club as guests on the April 7 television program. They will discuss the upcoming annual Rotary auction. The live, call-in program airs from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Those with questions can call 753-5225. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems in Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on channel 5. In Dunkirk, Forestville, Hanover, Irving and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19.

Cupcake Fun Starts Saturday

BUSTI - The Busti-Lakewood Rec Center is hosting Fun with Cupcakes classes for children ages 8 and up starting Saturday, April 7. Classes will also be held Saturday, May 5, and Saturday, June 2, continuing as long as there is interest. Each child will get to decorate three or four cupcakes. Space is limited. To register, call 763-1861, leaving the child's name, age and phone number. The fee is $3 for each child. Anyone attending should bring a container to take their cupcakes home. Parents are welcome to stay and help their children.

Church To Host Choir Event Friday

Holy Apostles Parish Choir will present The Seven Last Words of Christ by Theodore Dubois at noon Friday at Ss. Peter and Paul Church. The choir, under the direction of Anne Dolce, will feature soloists Katherine Healey, soprano, Tony Dolce, tenor, William Chandler, baritone, Darrin Payne, timpani, and Donna Gatz, organist. Members of the Holy Apostles Religous Education classes under the direction of Dianne Woleen and Paula Slagle will reenact the passion during the concert. The program lasts one hour. There is no admission charge.

Findley Lake Egg Hunt To Be Held

FINDLEY LAKE - The Findley Lake Fire Department will hold an Easter egg hunt from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in the community center. Participants should bring their own basket. In case of rain, the event will be held in the fire hall.

Library To Show 'Hop' Today

FREWSBURG - The Myers Memorial Library will show the animated movie, Hop, at 2 p.m. today in the library's community room. The movie features the Easter Bunny, the Easter candy factory on Easter Island and achieving one's dreams. The movie is rated PG.

Legion To Host Easter Party

LAKEWOOD - Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 is holding a children's Easter party from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7. Prizes included two bikes, one for a boy and one for a girl. There will be snacks, games and an Easter egg hunt. There will also be a special appearance of Easter bunnies. The event is open to all Lakewood American Legion members' children and grandchildren.
