Casino Promotes SWCS Graduate

Michael R. Taylor, a 1994 graduate of SWCS and a 1997 graduate of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Academy has been promoted to general manager of Empire City Casino in Yonkers. Taylor had previously served as the casino's assistant general manager since joining the staff in 2005. Previous positions held prior to his promotion include director of surveillance at Delaware North companies in Hamburg as well as with the Seneca Gaming Authority at the Seneca Niagara Falls Casino in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

"Empire City has come a long way since our opening in 2006 and I consider myself lucky to have seen and helped grow our company from the pre-construction phase to the fully operational property we all enjoy today," said Taylor. "I am truly proud and appreciative of everything our talented team of professionals has accomplished. I've never been more excited about our future and look forward to the opportunity and privilege to serve as (the) new general manager."
