Gladys Jones, 91, of 8142 E. Loop Road, Jimersontown, N.Y., died Thurs- day evening, March 29, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born Dec. 13, 1920, in Carrolton, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Ennis and Geneva Warrior Fatty. She was married to Alfred Jones Sr. who predeceased her in 1965. Her compan- ion, Delbert Crowe predeceased her in 2005.
She was employed at the former Salamanca District Hospital and the former Dach's Red House Inn, Red House, N.Y.
Mrs. Jones was an enrolled member of the Ono- daga Nation of Indians, the Heron Clan, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahren Post 5296, the Tuesday Club, Iroquois Senior Ci- tizens, the Iroquois Temperance League and the Quilting Club at the House of Prayer.
Surviving are a son, Alfred ''Tiger'' Jones Jr., Steamburg, N.Y.; two daughters: Sylvia John, Steamburg, N.Y., and Suzanne (Lenny) Kittle, Ji- mersontown, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; 12 great- great-grandchildren; a brother, LaVerne (Loretta ''Susie'') Jimerson, Bradford, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Jones; three grandchildren: Shelly Lichy, Lisa Cooper and Mark Kettle; a great-granddaughter, Cassie Anne Jones; and four brothers: Kenneth Fatty, Victor Fat- ty, Alex Fatty and Linus Fatty.
Friends may call at the family home, 8142 E. Loop Road, Jimersontown, N.Y., on Saturday and Sunday.
Funeral services will be held on Monday morning, April 2, 2012, at 10 a.m., in the Red House Memorial Chapel with Winifred Bowen, pastor and Wallace Mapes, pastor of the Heal- ing Reigns Fellowship, officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steam- burg, N.Y.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, N.Y.
