Watershed Group To Host Workshop
The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will be hosting a Healthy Landscaping, Healthy Waters workshop Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Camp Mission Meadows in Dewittville. The workshop will be presented by Dan Segal, owner and operator of The Plantsmen Nursery. Lunch and snacks will be provided. The cost of the workshop is $15. Pre-registration by Thursday is required. Church To Hold St. Joseph Table
St. John Church, 270 Newton Ave., Jamestown, will hold a St. Joseph Table from noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The public is welcome to attend.
Adopt-A-Thon Begins Friday
The Chautauqua County Humane Society and Shults Ford Lincoln Hyundai Car Corner will hold the 2012 Pennies 4 Paws Adopt-A-Thon from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Pets will be available for viewing and interaction at both locations. The Humane Society's goal is to adopt out 25 pets to approved applicants in two days. All adoption fees will be waived during the event. The waived fees are made possible by Shults Auto Group, which will donate 10,000 pennies and sponsor an adoption for every car sold during the Adopt-A-Thon event. The Humane Society is challenging itself as an organization to meet a new two-day record for pet placements. The event is part of the 2012 Pennies 4 Paws campaign which ends April 17 and is at one-third of the 1.7 million penny goal. For more information, call 665-2209 or visit www.spcapets.com.
Spring Bazaar Set For Saturday
The Team JMOH Hope Restorers will hold their third annual spring bazaar to raise money for the American Cancer Society from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Jamestown Medical Oncology, 21 Porter Ave., Jamestown. Featured vendors include Thirty-One, Avon, Pampered Chef, Paparozi Jewelry, Gold Canyon Candles, Scentsys, Peterson's Easter Candy, a bake sale and basket giveaway. The public is welcome to attend.
Spring Cleanup Sale Held Today
Residents of Covenant Manor, 23 W. Third St., Jamestown, will hold a spring cleanup sale form 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in the area near Jon Elder Photography. The public is welcome to attend.
Lenten Service Continues Today
First Presbyterian Church, 509 Prendergast Ave., Jamestown, continues its Lenten midweek services at noon today. Elder Richard Erickson will preach on his "Faith After Fifty" in Bellinger Chapel. Lunch will be served following worship.
