Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has done it again! His incendiary, inappropriate and crass comments about Georgetown University law student, Sandra Fluke, branding her as a "slut" and "prostitute" and in a follow-up broadcast chiding her over her sex life by making kissing noises with his lips and finally asking her to post her (sex) "videos online so we all can watch" has reached a new low, even for Limbaugh.
Just as private citizens have a right to express their opinions on issues of public policy, so does Rush Limbaugh. But his statements on the airwaves should be responsible, not vicious, not sensationalized and not hurtful.
It's time to put a stop to this nonsense! Congratulations to Sleep Train, Legal Zoom and quicken Loans for withdrawing advertising from his show. All of us should join in a fierce condemnation of such trash! Write to those continuing sponsors of his radio show and ask them to withdraw their sponsorship too. Maybe Rush Limbaugh will think twice before making such ghastly and disgusting statements again.
