Benefit For Findley Lake Man Slated
FINDLEY LAKE - A benefit for Bob Fink, a Findley Lake volunteer firefighter who recently had a heart attack, will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Findley Lake Fire Hall on Main Street, Findley Lake. There will be a spaghetti dinner, bake sale and Chinese auction that includes several items, gift baskets and gift certificates from area businesses and individuals. Busti GOP?To Host Breakfast Saturday
BUSTI - The Busti Republican Committee will host its annual St. Patrick's Day breakfast from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Alfie's Restaurant, 986 Fairmount Ave., West Ellicott. The breakfast will consist of pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the breakfast or in advance from any Busti Republican Committee person.
Lenten Service Is Wednesday
Dr. James Dahlie, elder and member of the First Presbyterian Church congregation for many years, will preach at the midweek Lenten services at First Presbyterian Church, 509 Prendergast Ave., Jamestown, at noon Wednesday. The service will be held in Bellinger Chapel with lunch to follow in the fellowship hall. The 2012 series of Lenten sermons is on "Faith After Fifty."
After-Prom Group To Meet
FALCONER - The Falconer After-Prom Committee will have one of its final planning meetings at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the eighth grade project room at Falconer High School. There are still many spots to fill for the After-Prom Committee and event. Anyone interested is asked to attend. All parents of juniors or seniors are encouraged to send in their pictures for the collages as soon as possible. The group still has pictures of seniors in 2011 as a junior. Sewer District Committee To Meet
CELORON - The South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts technical committee will meet at 4 p.m. today in the Water Pollution Control Facility in Celoron.
