Rose (Brunacini) Worden celebrated her 102nd birthday on March 8. She was born March 8, 1910, in Punxsutawney, Pa. Her parents, Josephine (Sperlaza) and Vincente Brunacini migrated from Grotte, Italy, in the 1890s.
Rose lives with her youngest daughter, Beverly Jean, on Norton Avenue in Jamestown. She enjoys her many friends from Chautauqua Adult Day Care, reading poetry, her cherished Bible, and cookies, cookies, cookies!
She has two brothers: James, 96, who resides in Albuquerque, N.M.; and her baby brother Joseph (Josephie), 92, who lives in Jamestown. Her brothers Sam and Charlie have passed away, as well as her sisters Emma (Nalbone), Mary (Rix) and her baby sister, Della (DeMaio).

Her son, Jude Allen (Marie), lives in Albuquerque and her daughter Shirley Ann lives in Hawaii.
Rose has eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was married to Floyd Herbert for 58 years; he passed away in April 1994.
Rose is cheerful, gracious and forever humble and compassionate.
