KENNEDY - Making customers happy is the main goal for Ryan Turney and Greg Barber as they start their new business, Turney's Auto Repair & Sales.
Turney, who worked 18 years for an area Jamestown tire company, said the two will operate an auto repair shop people can trust.
''We're going to treat people the way they want to be treated,'' he said. ''Corporate companies take away the relationship between the customer and the mechanic. We're going to run things the old-fashioned way where people can trust us to get the job done right at an affordable price.''

Both Turney and Barber live in the Kennedy area and have enjoyed meeting local residents since they opened the garage in January.
''It is a really nice area with really nice people,'' Barber said. ''We're local guys trying to bring back that small business attitude of taking care of the customer. Customer satisfaction is really important to us.''
The auto shop, which is located at 69 Route 394, offers all the services people expect from a mechanic. Turney's Auto Repair & Sales has diagnostic equipment to analyze vehicle problems, a tire-pressure monitoring system, tire sales and towing services. Also, the business provides batteries, windshield wipers and oil changes. The business works on both domestic and foreign cars.
''We sell a lot of tires and offer discounts,'' Turney said. ''I want to invite all my old customers in and new ones, too. I can assure them they will receive the same service I've always provided and we can offer prices lower than most businesses.''
Turney said the shop is also an auto dealer and will be able to sell vehicles once the paperwork is finalized with the state. Barber said the two are planning future renovations to the garage to add more repair bays.
''This way we will be able to get people in and out in a timely manner,'' he said. ''We've got big plans. We plan on being here for a long time.''
The business is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The business has a waiting room with free wireless Internet access and a television. For more information, call 267-4335.
