Josephine (Scardamaglia) Ingrao

Better known as Sissie

Born In Jamestown, N.Y., on Dec. 18, 1926, left this earth Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, to join her parents Joseph and Catherine (O'Block) Scardamaglia, brother Anthony ''Tony Scarry'') Scardamaglia and great-grandson Trysten Meurer.

Josephine was a longtime resident of Jamestown, who supported this community and was a respected employee of Yorktown Industries, where she retired from in 1984.

She enjoyed and loved spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite past time was at the casinos, horse racing, her hunting camp, swimming, the beach, sewing all kinds of things, travel and making Easter and Christmas candy for everyone. More recently the loving affection to and for her great grandchildren who call her YeiYei. She has always given her love and attention to everyone whom she touched.

Josephine is survived by daughters: Michelle Swanson of Gerry, Fabiean Lindahl of Mountville, Pa., and Cynthia (Daniel) Orlando of Jamestown; grandchildren: Clint Svenson, Matthew Lindahl, Katie (Seth) Meurer, Kasey (Vincent) Fanara, Danny (Debbie) Orlando, Phillip (Marilyn) Orlando and Brian (Colleen) Orlando; great-grandchildren: Tyler and Ashley Carroll, Kylee Jo Lindahl, Portia Svenson, Denza and Mia Fanara, Amy Garris, Dominique, Danielle, Lauren Beverly, Joey, Breah, Brittin, Braedon and Brynn Orlando, Devin and Seth Meurer; and father of her children, Nick Ingrao. She also is survived by her second family Steve and Linda Rinaldo and their sons.

Memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the Gerry Free Methodist Church, 4500 Church St., Gerry, with the Rev. David McCarthy officiating.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Chautauqua County.
