Fletcher Elementary School's additions and renovations are proceeding right on schedule.
In 2005, voters approved a $59 million series of capital projects that include additions to several instructional facilities and renovations at most instructional facilities. The district is in its final stage of this capital project, with the addition and renovations at Fletcher Elementary School, including building a new main entrance and office, a new gymnasium and adding classrooms.
The first phase consisted of exterior work, which included the new parking lot. Final touches on the exterior will continue to the end of the school year. The next phase will be to continue interior work including renovation of the "pod" area and the new main office. The classrooms in the "pod" will be temporarily relocated and the new main entrance to Fletcher will be opened after spring break. More information about the upcoming changes will be sent home to parents before spring break.
