Westfield Senior Citizens will meet at noon Thursday, March 8, for a potluck dinner meeting. Gladys Hess, Pat Everts, Sylvia Colbey, Pat Smith and Dolores Kaufman will be the kitchen and dessert committee. Jane Morse, of the Office for the Aging, will speak on elder abuse.
New members Dick and Bonnie Lancaster were welcomed at a recent meeting. Shirley Kolpien, president, presided. Joyce Wainright, chaplain, read a poem by Baxter Black. Celebrating birthdays were Peg McCallister, Trudy Stafford, Bill Elder, Eric Kriedler and Ang Gervasi.
After discussion, it was decided not to continue an affiliation with the Senior Council at this time.
Members voted on a trip on the chautauqua Belle instead of the annual picnic. The event will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 12. Those attending should take a bag lunch and meet at 4 p.m. in Mayville Park. For more information, call Ms. Kaufman at 326-2828 or Ms. Kolpien, 326-3576.
Ms. Kolpien presented the program and read an article on ''days gone by.'' The seniors were asked to share memories of the past.
New members are welcome; contact Ms. Kolpien at 326-3576.
