Prom Dress Giveaway Set
Chautauqua Striders is preparing to host its fifth annual prom dress giveaway Thursday, April 26, and Thursday, May 3, at Jamestown High School. The event is an opportunity for students attending area high school proms who need help getting a dress to wear to the prom. Prom dress donations of all sizes are being accepted. BPU Hosting Blood Drive
The public is invited to donate blood at the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Community Blood Bank blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the BPU Education Room, 92 Steele St., Jamestown. Lunch for blood donors will be provided. Donors may access the BPU Bloodmobile by entering the "D" driveway at 92 Steele St. to the BPU parking lot. Facing the building from the parking lot, one should enter the right door under the green awning beside the BPU Customer Service Department, sign in at the window and take the elevator to the first floor. Donors must be at least 17 years old, in good health and will need picture identification. Walk-ins are welcome. JCC To Host Get In The Game
Get in the Game, an all-day sporting event for girls in fourth through seventh grades, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Jamestown Community College Physical Education Complex. Registration forms will be accepted through March 3. The cost is $12. Some scholarships are available. Girls will rotate in groups among kickboxing, basketball, self-defense, rugby, soccer, Zumba, kayaking and track.
