Nancy L. Nye of Little Valley, N.Y. announces the engagement of her daughter Sarah Melody, to Kevin Michael Pangborn, the son of Wes Pangborn of Little Valley, N.Y., and Jackie Murphy of Parrish, N.Y. Miss Nye is also the daughter of the late Francis W. Nye and the granddaughter of the late Clarence "Mike" Nye and the late Pierrette Rauh. Her fiance is also the son of the late Mary Butler-Pangborn and the grandson of Hazel Willard of Olean, N.Y., and the late Edith Pangborn.
Miss Nye is a 1998 graduate of Little Valley Central School, a 2002 graduate of the State College at Cortland and received her master's degree in special education from Grand Canyon University in 2010. She is employed by the Salamanca City Central School District. Her fiance is a 2001 graduate of Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central. He is employed as the chef of The Barn Restaurant in Ellicottville, N.Y.
A July 14, 2012, wedding is planned.
