CLYMER - A Jamestown man was taken into custody recently after an investigation into a sexual abuse incident.
Kenneth R. Houghwot, 29, of Bush Street, Jamestown, was charged with second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child recently.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Houghwot had an encounter in early August during which he touched a 13-year-old female juvenile in a sexual manner without consent.
Child Protective Services of Chautauqua County received a report regarding the incident and forwarded the information on the the Sheriff's Office. A joint investigation was then conducted, using the Child Advocacy Center of Chautauqua County.
Houghwot was taken into custody on a warrant without incident and arraigned in Clymer Town Court. He was later released under the supervision of Probation.
