Randall and Janet Paddock of Mayville, N.Y., and Mark and Bonnie Webster of King, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Nicole, to David Alan Rice, the son of Herbert and Marilyn Rice of Williamstown, Mass. Miss Paddock is the granddaughter of William and Evelyn Paddock of Mayville, N.Y., and Paul and Selma Wood of Westfield, N.Y.
Miss Paddock is a 2003 graduate of Chautauqua Lake Central School and earned a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Alfred University. She is employed as a news editor at Laurin Publishing Co. in Pittsfield, Mass. Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School and earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Bates College. He is employed as a financial advisor at RBC Wealth Management in Pittsfield, Mass.
A Sept. 1, 2012, wedding is planned in the Berkshires.
