FREWSBURG - A strong man-to-man defense in the early going carried Randolph to a comfortable margin and meant that Frewsburg was climbing uphill the rest of the way in Division 2 boys basketball on Friday night.

Randolph held Frewsburg to a mere two points in the first quarter while scoring 17 en route to a 65-46 verdict over the Bears (3-8, 7-10).

The only points by Frewsburg in the opening eight minutes came on a field goal by Ian McFarland to make it 4-2. John Morgante and Brady Morrison had seven points during the run that saw the Cardinals finish off the quarter with 13 points in a row.
