Maple Grove To Hold Benefit

BEMUS POINT - The Maple Grove Student Council is hosting a floor hockey tournament to benefit Ryan Samuelson and his family on Friday, March 16, and possibly lasting into Saturday, March 17, at Bemus Point Elementary School. Games will be five against five. The tournament is open to teams of all ages. Registration is $15 a team. Registration forms are available at www.mgstudco.tk.

Ellington Seeks Picnic Memories

ELLINGTON - The Ellington Town Picnic Committee is requesting people who have fond memories of the Ellington Town Picnic answer the question "What is your favorite memory of the Ellington Town Picnic?" Submission should be sent with a name and phone number to the attention of Mary Jane Griffith to the Farman Free Library, PO Box 26, Ellington, NY 14732, before March 1. All submissions will be used in a commemorative booklet to be published to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Ellington Town Picnic.

Sheffield To Hold Scrapbooking

SHEFFIELD - Sheffield Area Middle High School yearbook committee and student council members will hold the third annual scrapbooking day fundraiser from 6:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, in the high school cafeteria. The cost is $35 a person and includes breakfast, lunch, beverages and snacks throughout the day. Registration is limited to 50 participants. Door prizes will be drawn throughout the day. Registration forms are available at the high school office or by emailing Sarah Connolly at connollys@wcsdpa.org or Cynthia Hartburg at hartburg@wcsdpa.org. Forms and fees must be received by Monday, Feb. 20, and can be dropped off at the school or mailed to Sheffield Area Middle High School, c/o Sarah Connolly, 6760 Route 6, Sheffield, PA 16347.

Study Club To Meet Monday

BEMUS POINT - The Bemus Point Study Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the St. Mary of Lourdes Parish Hall. The program will be book discussions of "The Postmistress" by Sarah Blake and the "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.
