The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet for their annual dinner at 12:30 p.m. Monday in the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. For more information, contact Connie Whitman.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 12:30 p.m. in the Busti Fire Hall. The cost of lunch is $2. Jeanette Mansfield, Elsie Mitchell, Margy Lillie and Angie Morgante will be the committee.
Fifty-one members met for lunch, recently in the Lakewood Rec Center. Theresa Perrin, president, opened the meeting with a flag salute, prayer and song. Linda Casanento was a visitor. Pat Cisona, Grace Peterson and Cecile Wilson, new members, were welcomed.
Discussion was the need of a volunteer to audit the books. Richard Anderson spoke on the coupon program and a trip African Lion Safari on Wednesday, May 23. The cost is $82 per person and a passport or enhanced driver's license is required. Other trips include the Warther Carving Museum in Dover, Ohio on July 24, $67 person; a mystery trip on Sept. 24; and the Nica Vola Christmas Cabaret Show in at Crescent Beach, Rochester. The price is $70 per person.
Joyce Rhoades presented a program and slide show on her trip to China.
