FREWSBURG - Bruce M. Johnson, 61, of 788 Frew Run Road, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at his home.
He was born May 23, 1950, in Jamestown, the son of Bruce O. and Mary Parson Johnson.
He had been employed at Power Drives in Falconer and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army National Guard.

He was a member of the Carroll Rod and Gun, Samuel Derby Post 556 American Legion Frewsburg, the VVA, the Erie Beagle Club, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. Bruce had a great appreciation and love for his country, and caused much laughter with his story telling.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Susan Bush Johnson, whom he married March 22, 1981, in Frewsburg; five children: Kim (Brian) Davis, Ericka Champlin, Christopher and Tricia Johnson of Frewsburg and Sean Johnson, of Erie, Pa.; five grandchildren: Cate and Ian Davis, Kayla Johnson, Elizabeth and Kelly Champlin all of Frewsburg; four sisters: Cindy Ellis of Cherry Creek, Pennie Hansen of Port Orange, Fla., Polly Arney of Canada, Heidi McManus of Jamestown, a brother, Kerry Johnson of Ashville and his adoptd "kids."
He was predeceased by his parents.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. There will be a gathering for anyone wishing to at-tend, immediately following the visitation from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Carroll Rod & Gun, Frew Run Road, Frewsburg.
