FALCONER - Changes to garbage and recycling have gone into effect.
A calender was mailed to residents and information is available on the reverse side of the calendar.
Mayor David Krieg would like to remind residents of changes.
Soft plastic recyclables will be collected twice monthly. Metal, tin, aluminum and clear glass will be collected once a month on the last week of recycling collection but must be sorted in separate containers. Collection of newspapers, magazines and cardboard remains the same. Garbage must be put in bags and there is a limit of three 30-gallon bags of trash per week per household. Cardboard boxes must be cut down and flattened. Household items such as mattresses, furniture and appliances are not collected by the garbage and recycling contractor. Never dispose of syringes of any type in the garbage.
Additional copies of the recycling schedule may be picked up at the office of the village clerk. For more information, call the office at 665-4400.
