Basil and Ellen Aldrich of South Dayton celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on Dec. 19, 2011. They have two children: Pam (Ken) Volz of Williamsville, N.Y., and Kathie (Doug) Robison of Avon, Ohio. They also have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
They were married Dec. 19, 1945 in the Lutheran Parsonage in Little Valley, while Aldrich was home on furlough.
Aldrich is a retired constuction worker and commercial pilot. They owned and operated the Valley Lanes Bowling Alley in Little Valley and Aldrich Drive-In in South Dayton.
