Mindy DeAnn Hendren and John Dennis Allenbrand exchanged wedding vows on Oct. 27, 2011, at the historic train station in Southern Pines, N.C. Pastor Gil Wise of Solid Rock United Methodist Church performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of William Christopher and Beverly Hendren of Hiddenite, N.C., and the granddaughter of Belva and Patsy Bentley of Taylorsville, N.C. Her husband is the son of Dennis and Susan Allenbrand of Sinclairville, N.Y.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Western Carolina University, where she received a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is employed as a second-grade teacher at Upchurch Elementary School in Raeford, N.C. Her husband is serving in the U.S. Army as an airborne infantry team leader in the 82nd Airborne Division, stationed at Fort Bragg.
