St Elia To Hold Christmas Liturgy

Carroll Clerk's Office To Close
CARROLL - The Town of Carroll Clerk's Office will be closed today until Tuesday, Jan. 3, except Wednesday, Dec. 28, the office will be open normal business hours. Also, Wednesday, the Carroll Town Board will hold its year-end meeting for the purpose of approving the remaining bills for 2011. First Presbyterian To Host Serives
First Presbyterian Church in Jamestown will be having two Christmas Eve services on Saturday. The first service is at 5 p.m. in the Bellinger Chapel and is worship with children in mind. A Christmas story will be told along with the singing of Christmas hymns. The second service is the annual Festival Candlelighting service in the sanctuary with the sacrament of holy communion served. The service starts at 10 p.m., an hour earlier than in past years, with the gathering musical prelude starting at 9:30 p.m. First Presbyterian Church will have no worship or other activities on Sunday.
Jamestown BPU To Host Blood Drive
The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at the BPU Education Room, 92 Steele St., Jamestown. The Red Cross will provide pizza for lunch for blood donors. Donors may access the BPU Bloodmobile by entering the "D" driveway at 92 Steele St. to the BPU parking lot. Donors must be at least 17 years old, in good health and will need a form of ID such as a blood donor card or driver's license. Walk-ins are welcome.
