Thomas A. Colbert

Thomas A. Colbert, 76, of Pittsfield, Pa., died unex-pectedly Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at the Warren General Hospital.

He was born Dec. 14, 1934, in Homestead, Pa., a son of the late Frank and Theresa (O'Brien) Colbert.

Tom was a graduate of Youngsville High School and served in the U.S. Navy where he was stationed at the naval submarine base in New London, Conn. He was self-employed as an electri-cian. Tom was a faithful member of St. Luke's Ro-man Catholic Church in Youngsville and the Ameri-can Legion Post #658 in Youngsville. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap-ping.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Bradley Col-bert, whom he just married on Sept. 24, 2011, at St. Luke's Catholic Church, a brother Frank "Bud" Col-bert of Jackson, N.J.; two sisters: Patricia Smith and Delores Kaufman, both of Westfield, NY, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Boyer and Margaret Hol-comb.

Friends will be received on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the gathering space at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church 420 N. Main St., in Youngsville. A vigil ser-vice will be held at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated there on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. John Neff, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Warren. The Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St, Youngsville, are entrusted with all arrange-ments.
