The Harmony Seniors will meet at noon on Thursday, Dec. 1, for their annual Christmas luncheon at the Rowdy Rooster in Panama. All members and guests planning to attend should make reservations with Lester Wevers by calling 782-3131 no later than Friday, Nov. 25. The cost for each dinner is $7. The officers will serve as the food and decoration committee.
Recently members met at the Panama Methodist Church for a Thanksgiving dinner prepared by Sally Hagg. The officers served as the food committee. Pauline Edsall welcomed members and guests. She gave a reading entitled ''A Thanksgiving Day Prayer'' by Scott Weseman and paid tribute to veterans with the reading, ''You Can't Tell a Vet Just By Looking.'' She then gave the dinner prayer and led the flag salute.
Birthdays were celebrated by Henry Van Luther, Al Moran, Gay Ostrander, Bill Sweeney, Joanne Wiggers; and Ellen Lord and Beverly Smith both eldest in attendance. Anniversaries were celebrated by Bonnie and Neil Anderson, Carole and Jerry Bergman, Shirley and Richard Carlson, and Jean and Maynard Wagner.
Bonnie Anderson distributed Salvation Army Angel Tree tags. Those participating are asked to take their gifts to the Dec. 1 meeting at the Rowdy Rooster. Dottie Enlow gave a trip report. Space is still available for the Dec. 5 trip to Hartwood Acres in Etna, Pa. Anyone interested in the trip should contact Dottie. The bus will leave Lakewood Senior Center at 10:30 a.m. and Panama Methodist Church at 10:55 a.m. She reported that she is working on scheduling trips for next year.
