The Town of Poland Seniors will meet for a Thanksgiving dinner, catered by 3Cs Catering, on Wednesday in the Kennedy Fire Hall. Cliff and Liz Barnes, Jean Ormond, Jean Ormond, Leona Smith, Phyllis Frank and Doris Stone are the committee. Reservations for the Christmas dinner must made at this time.
Bev Littlefield led table grace when the seniors met recently for a potluck dinner. Paul and Helen Burch, Delores Swanson and Beverly Wilson were the committee. Roland Swanson, vice president, called tables and the meeting to order with a flag salute and song. Lou Ball accompanied on piano. Reports given by the secretary and treasurer were approved as read and a fundraiser was held.
Celebrating birthdays were Marge Young, Claudine Holmes, Lou Ball, Pauline Van Guilder and Alice Bastian.
Sally Canniff spoke on the Nov. 29 trip to the Riverside Inn, Cambridge Springs, Pa. The bus will leave the fire hall at 10:30 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. Future trips were also discussed.
Donna Cross gave several humorous readings.
