John and Laura Knight of Jamestown, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia S., to Travis L. Olmstead, the son of Tess Whitcomb of Jamestown, N.Y., and Frank Olmstead II of Gerry, N.Y.
Miss Knight is a 2008 graduate of Maple Grove High School and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in animal science at Cornell University. Her fiance earned an associate degree in motorsport technology from Alfred State University. He is employed by Suit Kote Construction.
A Sept. 29, 2012, wedding is planned.
