Amanda Catherine Rhoney and Steven Alan Christy Jr. exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 3, 2011, at St. John's Roman Catholic Church/Holy Apostles Parish. The Rev. Dennis Mende performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Donna Gatz.
The bride is the daughter of Connor and Marilyn Rhoney of Jamestown, N.Y., and the granddaughter of Irma Rhoney of Jamestown, N.Y., and the late Carol Wilcox Kuhre Paulus, Richard Paulus, Floyd Kuhre and Edward Rhoney. Her husband is the son of Steven and Angela Christy Sr. of Jamestown, N.Y., and Lucinda and Daryl Dye of Lakewood, N.Y. He is also the grandson of Albert and Betty Christy, of Gerry, N.Y.; Walter and Nina Newhouse of Panama, N.Y.; Alice Burch of Ellington, N.Y., and the late Roger Dulmus.
The bride wore a white satin David's Bridal A-line halter gown with sequin and pearl embellishments.

Sara Hennessy was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sheena Anderson, Melinda Maxwell and Laura Golden. Flower girl was Kaelyn Maxwell.
Best man was Charles Piazza. Groomsmen were Kevin and Randall Christy, brothers of the groom and Mathew Rhoney, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Hayden Anderson.
Master and mistress of ceremonies were Leonard and Alison Barry with help from their children, Kate and Peter Barry.
The bride is pursuing a master's degree in teacher leadership from the University of Phoenix. She is employed as a teacher at the Heritage House Childcare and Learning Center. Her husband is employed as a commercial driver at Chautauqua Brick, Bemus Point.
They honeymooned on a cruise on Carnival Freedom to Key West, Fla.; Ochos Rios, Jamaica; and the Grand Cayman Islands.
They are living in Jamestown, N.Y.
