Job Interviewing Class Is Thursday

Preparing For Your Next Job Interview, a non-credit course, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Jamestown Community College. Tuition is $29. To register, call 338-1005. The course is designed for individuals who are preparing to interview for their next management or staff level position. Participants will learn how to maintain energy and confidence during the interview process.

Findley Lake Auction Is Saturday

FINDLEY LAKE - The Findley Lake Volunteer Firemen's Association will sponsor a Christmas auction on Saturday and also on Saturday, Dec. 3, in the fire hall. Doors and the kitchen will open at 5:30 p.m. The auction will begin at 6 p.m.

Church To Host Harvest Dinner

WESTFIELD - The First Presbyterian Church, 49 S. Portage St., Westfield, will hold a meatloaf harvest dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. Dinners will include beverage and a homemade dessert. The cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children age 10 and under. Takeouts and delivery will be available; for delivery, or more information, call the church office at 326-2643 before noon the day of the dinner. Proceeds will benefit building restoration and mission/outreach projects.

AARP Driving Class To Be Nov. 12

FALCONER - An AARP Driver Safety Program will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Falconer First Baptist Church, 37 Falconer St., Falconer. The church is not handicapped accessible. Lunch will be available for a donation. The cost of the course is $12 for AARP members; $14 for non-members. During the month of November, veterans and spouses can attend for free; take proof of service and a driver's license. Class size is limited to 36 persons and reservations are required; contact Bob Lewis at 569-2115. Participants will receive a 10 percent insurance discount or a points reduction.

Unit 1280 Craft Show Is Saturday

CASSADAGA - The Cassadaga American Legion Auxiliary 1280, 228 Maple Ave., Cassadaga, will host a vendor/craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Participating vendors include The Pampered Chef, Silpada Jewelry, Party Lite Candles, Miche Bags, Cakes, Sweets and Treats, Sentsy, 31, Lia Sophia, Fran's Jams & Jellies, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Beauticontrol, Herbal Life, Native Impressions T-shirts, Tupperware, Avon and Tastefully Simple. Also featured will be handpainted glass items, homemade jewelry and tie-die t-shirts. For more information, contact Karen Field at 499-9887.

Gerry Trick-Or-Treat Hours Set

GERRY - The town of Gerry's trick-or-treat hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Afterward will be the annual Halloween costume judging contest beginning at 7 p.m. in the Gerry fire hall.

Farman Library Sets Halloween Program

ELLINGTON - The Farman Free Library, 60 Thornton Road, Ellington, will hold a day of Halloween activities from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. Donna Eskeli will present the program "Pumpkins, Spiders and Mour." Featured will be stories, crafts and refreshments for children, ages pre-kindergarten and up. For more information call 287-2945.
