Church To Hold Dinner Today
WESTFIELD - The First Presbyterian Church, 49 S. Portage St., Westfield, will hold an herb chicken harvest dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today. All dinners include beverage and homemade dessert. Takeouts and delivery will be available; for delivery, call the church office at 326-2643 before noon the day of the dinner. The cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children, age 10 and under. Library Shopping Day Is Saturday
ELLINGTON - The Ellington Farman Free Library will hold its third annual shopping day in the country from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday. Those participating can travel throughout the Amish countryside while shopping at local stores, restaurants and Amish shops in Cherry Creek, Conewango Valley and Ellington. Special discounts will be available to those participating. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the library at 9:30 a.m. At 3 p.m., participants can gather back at the library for coffee and dessert. Proceeds will benefit the library.
Group To Hold Pancake Breakfast
The Falconer and Kennedy Junior Firefighters will hold an pancake breakfast at Applebees from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Proceeds from the event will benefit training for junior firefighters at the New York State Fire Academy. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
Legion To Host Herring Breakfast
FREWSBURG - The Frewsburg American Legion will host a fall herring breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday. The cost is $7 for herring; $6 for ham or sausage and eggs. Proceeds will be used to support club activities.
Edgar Allan Poe Party Set
FREWSBURG - The Myers Memorial Library, Frewsburg, will host an Edgar Allan Poe party from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday. Family oriented activities will be held in the library, upstairs, including decorating a mask, making an origami raven and fabric pumpkin, playing games and a scavenger hunt for younger children. At 7 p.m., downstairs, there will be a dramatic program presented by Claire Walton. Those attending are encouraged to dress in 1800s period clothing or "Addams Family" attire. The free program is being presented as part of The Big Read, which is on the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
20th Anniversary Party Slated
BEMUS POINT - The 20th anniversary of the Ellery Sno-Cruisers snowmobile and outdoor sports show will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Village Casino. An auction, vendors, sled corral and more will be held. For more information, visit www.ellerysno-cruisers.org.
Church To Close Concert Series
ELLINGTON - The Ellington Community Church will host the final Gospel concert for the season at 3 p.m. Sunday.
