Timothy S. Burgeson, 53, of 1475 Goshen Road, Panama, died Wednesday Oct. 12, 2011, in his home.
He was born Aug. 15, 1958, in Jamestown, a son of Irving C.L. and Donna Cheney Burgeson.
He was a 1977 graduate of Panama Central School, and from 1981 to 2008 was employed by Cummins Engine Plant as a cutter and grinder.
He was a member of Watts Flats United Methodist Church, Odd Fellows and the Vietnam Vets-Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club.
A true outdoorsman, Tim enjoyed hunting and fishing and earlier in his life participated in the 4-H beef cattle program. He was passionate about ice cream, movies and Harley Davidson motorcycles. His greatest loves were for his entire family, his dogs, loving wife and her cooking and the brotherhood he shared with his fellow motorcycle club members.
Surviving besides his parents of Watts Flats, are his wife, Cheryle "Sam" Martin Burgeson: three sons: Reede (Jennifer) Burgeson of Lakewood, Timothy Scott Burgeson Jr, of Rochester, N.Y., and J.R. (Betsy) Burgeson of Panama; three grandchildren: Hayden and Carlyn Burgeson of Lakewood, and Oliver Burgeson of Panama; two brothers: Daniel and Jon Burgeson, both of Jamestown; a sister, Christine Stebbins of Watts Flats; two nieces: Baylee R.C. Stebbins of Watts Flats and Tia (Adam) Kester of Panama; and a nephew, Logan Stebbins of Watts Flats.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Clair and Genevra Burgeson and Otis and Elva Cheney.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Watts Flats United Methodist Church. Pastor Warren Van-Dewark will officiate.
Burial will be in Panama Union Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home.
