OLEAN - The United States Postal Service designates October as Stamp Collecting Month. One way the Olean, N.Y. Stamp Club helps to promote the hobby is by holding a Stamp and Post Card Show. The 15th annual show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, in the B.P.O.E. Elks Club 491, 209 W. State St., Olean.
''What's in your attic?'' will also be part of the Olepex'11. This annual venue, sponsored by the Olean Stamp Club, is a chance for anyone to bring in those items you have been wondering about. Free appraisals will be given on stamps, post cards and paper ephemera.
This is the first area show within 100 miles since late spring and is a chance to build on a collection or find out more about this hobby.
