The county executive's tentative budget for 2012 has been released online.

County Executive Greg Edwards will present the budget to the full legislature Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held on the third floor of the Gerace Office Building in Mayville.
As proposed, the budget increases the county's property tax rate by $1.13 -- taking the rate from $8.90 per thousand dollars of assessed valuation to $10.03.
The total levy is proposed to increase by $7,603,714 to a total of $67,036,845 in 2012.
The total levy as proposed actually equals $70,036,845, but includes the use of $5,000,000 from county fund balances.
