David and Barbara Brooker of Westfield, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 26, 2011, in Orlando, Fla. They are the parents of Marc of Westfield, N.Y.; David of La Habra, Calif.; and Ellen of Westfield, N.Y. They are also the grandparents of Christopher and Jena of Westfield. Out-of-state guests attended from Florida and California.
Brooker and the former Barbara Main were married Aug. 26, 1961, in Central United Methodist of Endicott, N.Y. The Rev. L. Hawke performed the ceremony.
Brooker was employed by the former Mayville Central School teaching high school science and also by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department as a navigation deputy.
