Scholeno — Vanstrom

Emily Vanstrom and Joe Scholeno exchanged wedding vows on Aug. 6, 2011, at the Bemus Methodist Church. Daniel McBride performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Katherine Willow-Peterson, harpist.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Jeanne Vanstrom of Falconer, N.Y. Her husband is the son of Karen Scholeno of Lakewood, N.Y., and the late Frank Scholeno, and the grandson of Patricia Crandall of Lakewood, N.Y.

The bride wore a Casa Blanca two-toned, ivory and champagne silky taffeta gown with a sweetheart neckline and ruched bodies.

Elizabeth Hirz, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Corrie Case, Kimberly Youngberg, Erin Sheldon-Vanstrom, Julie Widen, Sarah Gustafson and Sherri Hurst. Flower girl was Cora Hirz, niece of the bride.

Best man was Michael Scholeno, brother of the groom. Ushers were Michael Currie, Nick Peterson, James Schultz, Kyle Damon, Kevin Darling and Sam Valvo.

Master and mistresses of ceremonies were Mark and Janice Steele and Joyce Stevenson, uncle and aunts of the bride.

The bride is employed as a health and physical education teacher at Falconer Central School. Her husband is a police officer in the Fredonia district.

They honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

They are living in Jamestown, N.Y.
