Elizabeth S. Billgren and Sumeer Kakar exchanged wedding vows on July 9, 2011, at the The Swan Club, Roslyn Harbor, N.Y. The Rev. Dr. Edward Halldorson, uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony. Music was provided by the The Ambiance String Trio and Christopher Halldorson, vocalist.
The bride is the daughter of Edward and Susan Billgren of Bemus Point, N.Y., and the granddaughter of the late Erby and Ruth Powell and the late Andrew and Queenie Billgren. Her husband is the son of Sudhir and Sangeeta Kakar of Upper Brookville, N.Y.
The bride wore a custom-made ivory drop-waist gown with a beaded satin bodice and organza petal skirt.

Sarah Barchinger was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kinsley Phillips, Kristina Westcott, Nicole Gerring, Cara Lubner, Shivangi Kakar and Sumedha Kakar. Flower girl was Saumya Sachdeva.
Best men were Nick Rosage and Brian Daglian. Groomsmen were Ty Sbano, Ravi Aulhuwalia, Gabe Pendleton and Michael Billgren. Ring bearer was Dhurv Batra.
The bride is a graduate of the State University at Fredonia and Penn State University. She manages a women's fashion company in New York City. Her husband is a graduate of Penn State University and University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and was recently admitted to the New York Bar Association.
They honeymooned in the Bahamas.
They are living in Upper Brookville on Long Island, N.Y.
