Pianists To

Perform?In City

Three young piano students from Chautauqua Institution will perform in Jamestown at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 130 McDaniel Ave., at 8 p.m. tonight. The public is welcome to attend this free concert and the refreshments afterwards. A love offering will be taken for the performers. Claudio Espejo, 19, of Chile; Joshua Sawicki, 23, of New Britain, Conn.; and Jiao Sun, 20, of China will perform works by Haydn, Liszt, Beethoven and Ravel. They will perform on a newly refurbished 1916 Steinway M grand piano.

Celoron School Reunion Set

Alumni of the former Celoron School are invited to a reunion on Saturday, July 30, in the Celoron Community Log Cabin beginning at 5 p.m. A catered chicken barbecue dinner will follow at 6 p.m. The cost is $8 per person. Reservations are required; call 483-3193 or 763-1114 by Friday, July 22.

Block Party Set In Frewsburg

FREWSBURG - The third annual Ivory community picnic and block party will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the Ivory Baptist Church pavilion, rain or shine. Hot dogs, chips and beverages will be provided. Food items are welcome, but not necessary. Everyone connected with the Ivory community, both past and present, are invited to attend.

Church To Hold Concert July 24

ELLINGTON - The Ellington Community Church will host a gospel concert, featuring the duo ''Spirit'' at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 24. Refreshments will be served following the concert. For more information, call 962-5168. The church is handicapped accessible.

Picnic Committee To Meet Tuesday

ELLINGTON - The Ellington Town Picnic committee will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ellington Fire Hall. Planning for the 99th Town Picnic to be held Aug. 5-7 will continue. Spaces for vendors are still available. For more information, call 287-2038.

Bible School To Start Monday

A summer kids' event called PandaMania will be hosted at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Children explore a bamboo forest filled with crazy pandas, as they discover that God's love. Children participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into treats, experience electrifying Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God's wild love, and create Bible Point crafts they'll take home. Plus, Children will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with a Rowdy Wrap-Up, a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they've learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily at 11:30 a.m. The week culminates with a family picnic after the Rowdy Wrap-Up on Friday.
