David and Christine Ewing of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on June 4, 2011, at the Scallion Bistro in Lakewood, N.Y. They are the parents of David (Beth) Ewing Jr. of Winston-Salem, N.C.., and Mark (Sarah) Ewing of Albany, N.Y.
Ewing and the former Christine Dobmeier were married June 5, 1971, in St. Luke's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Kenneth Seitz performed the ceremony.
Ewing has been employed by Dawson Metal. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam era aboard the USS Savannah. Mrs. Ewing had been employed by Dr. Frank Racitano and Dr. Robert Scott.
