John and Kim Frye of South Williamsport, Pa., celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2011. They are the parents of Carl Frye of Whispering Pines, N.C., and Amanda Caldwell of South Williamsport, Pa. They also have five grandchildren.
They were married June 12, 1976, in Busti, N.Y.
Frye is retired from the U.S. Army where he served as a staff sergeant. He is also a retired truck driver. He is a member of the American Legion Post 617 in Williamsport, Pa., where he serves as commander. Mrs. Fyre is employed by H&R Block. She is a member of the American Legion Post 617 Auxiliary, where she serves as president.
