Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hinsdale of Clymer, N.Y. celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary and their birthdays on May 21, 2011, in the social room at the Abbe Reformed Church in Clymer, N.Y. The celebration was hosted by their children: Darryl and Cindy Hinsdale of Jamestown, N.Y., Thomas and Patti Hinsdale of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Mary Jane Hinsdale of San Diego, Calif. They have three grandchildren: Kipton Hinsdale of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Aron Hinsdale and Lisa Hinsdale, both of Jamestown, N.Y. They also have a great-granddaughter, Shannon Barr of Jamestown, N.Y.
Hinsdale is a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific. He is a retired rural mail carrier. Mrs. Hinsdale is a retired teacher's aide and secretary from the Clymer-Findley Lake School District.
They were married in February of 1942. Hinsdale turned 90 on April 23, 2011, and Mrs. Hinsdale will turned 90 on June 1, 2011.
