Andrew D. Fuchs, 29, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree criminal impersonation and being a fugitive from justice at 9:16 p.m. Friday in the Jamestown Police Department reception area. According to a police report, a woman came to the department to report an assault, saying she was hit in the face several times by Fuchs. Further investigation revealed Fuchs was allegedly wanted in Crawford County, Pa., for violating his probation. Fuchs was then found by officers, allegedly giving officers a false identification to prevent being charged. He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he can be arraigned.
Nicole M. Graham, 22, of Olean was charged with no stopping/standing/parking on highway, failure to keep right, a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated and misdemeanor driving with .08 of 1 percent or more of alcohol in her blood stream at 1:15 a.m. Friday on East Second Street, near Niagara Avenue. According to a police report, a vehicle was seen driving east on East Second Street from the downtown area, making two stops in the road and allegedly crossing repeatedly into the turning lane of East Second Street. After a third stop in the road, the vehicle was pulled over and Ms. Graham was charged. She was allegedly found to have twice the legal limit of alcohol in her blood stream. She will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
Timothy J. Coone, 21, of Jamestown was charged with DWI, DWI per se and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after he was pulled over at 2:10 a.m. Saturday on East Second Street, near Foote Avenue, after officers allegedly saw a vehicle cross into the wrong lane of traffic as it crossed Foote Avenue, driving in the wrong lane for about a block. Coone was allegedly driving and allegedly in possession of a weapon in the driver's door pocket in the car. A passenger in the vehicle, Matthew Jones, 24, of Jamestown, was also charged and taken to the Jamestown City Jail after several warrants were found for his arrest. He also allegedly gave officers a false name to elude arrest. Both will be in Jamestown City Court later.
Mark T. Sherwood, 38, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault at 7:05 a.m. Saturday after officers responded to a report of a domestic violence incident taking place. Officers arrived on the scene to find a woman who had injuries to the right side of her face allegedly caused by Sherwood. He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail before he was arraigned and released.
Mark Elliott Diers Jr., 32, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment at 11:57 a.m. Saturday after neighbors called police after allegedly seeing a man drag a woman into a home on Norwood Avenue by her hair. When officers arrived, witnesses said Diers allegedly pulled the woman into the house while she screamed for help. Officers then knocked on the door of the home until they allegedly heard screams from inside the home. They then forced the door open and charged Diers. He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he can be arraigned.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S
SHERIDAN - Michael Peck, 34, of Dunkirk was charged with aggravated DWI, having a .18 blood-alcohol content or higher and DWI common law after he was pulled over at 10:05 p.m. Friday on Center Road in Sheridan. According to a police report, deputies responded to a suspicious situation on Center Road after a man got stuck in a driveway after he had allegedly tried to turn around. Peck was then charged. He will be in Sheridan Town Court later.
PORTLAND - Lee Patterson, 41, of Brocton was charged with DWI common law, refusal to submit to a breath test, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and following too closely at 1:20 a.m. Saturday on Southswede Road, Portland. According to a police report, deputies were contacted by a person at 1:18 a.m. Saturday saying the driver had been hit from behind by another vehicle on Central Avenue in Brocton. The person then followed the vehicle to a home on South Swede Road in Portland. Deputies then investigated the complaint and charged Patterson, who was arraigned in Portland Town Court and was released on his own recognizance by the judge. He will be in court later.
NORTH HARMONY - Lisa S. Martin, 40, of 9 Cole Ave., Bradford, Pa., was charged with DWI common law, aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content great than .18 percent and felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator Saturday at 5:50 p.m. Deputies responded to a vehicle off the road on Interstate 86 in North Harmony. Martin was allegedly found driving and intoxicated. A check of her driving record allegedly showed that she had a suspended driver's license. She was taken into custody as she was also wanted on a warrant out of Olean City Court for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was issued tickets for the charges in Chautauqua County and turned over to Olean PD.
DUNKIRK - Jeffrey S. Fellinger, 43, of 58 E. Seventh St., Dunkirk, was charged with unattended vehicle and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation Saturday at 11:16 p.m. Deputies on patrol allegedly saw a vehicle illegally parked in a fire lane while it was running and without an operator in the Tops parking lot on Vineyard Drive, Dunkirk. It was found that Eppinger had allegedly driven the vehicle and parked it there. A driving record check allegedly showed that he had a suspended license, which was suspended on Nov. 2, 2010, and Jan. 7. He was taken into custody and later released with appearance tickets.
Efrain A. Martinez, 42, of Indianapolis, In., was charged with DWI, DWI per se and speed in zone Friday at 3:03 a.m. Deputies allegedly saw a vehicle speeding on Foote Avenue in Jamestown. The vehicle was pulled over and Martinez was allegedly found to be driving and intoxicated. He was taken into custody and later released. He will appear in Jamestown City Court later.
STOCKTON - Herven S. Vaillancourt, 25, of North Tonawanda, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana Saturday at 8:35 a.m. Deputies allegedly saw a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in Cassadaga. The vehicle was pulled over. Vaillancourt, a passenger in the vehicle, was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance and marijuana. He was taken into custody and arraigned. He was then taken to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S
YORKSHIRE - David D. Hoffman, 46, of Yorkshire, was taken into custody at the Yorkshire Town Court after a warrant was issued for second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment. He was held in lieu of $1,000 bail.
