Clyde P. "Buzz" Hicks

Clyde P. "Buzz" Hicks, 49, of 33 Maple St., died Friday December 31, 2010, in WCA Hospital.

A Jamestown native, he was born April 16, 1961, a son of the late Joseph and Shirley Vaughn Hicks.

He was a veteran of the US Navy and worked as a contractor for Wofford Construction.

He was a member of Victory Tabernacle Worship Center where he served as a worship leader. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge.

He enjoyed painting, working on his computer and playing video games. Most of all he loved going to church and singing.

Surviving are his wife the former Angela Jimerson, four children: Robert A. Lee (Heather Pratt), Janae P. Wofford (Clevon Wofford) and Stacy M. Lee (Ken Kephart), all of Jamestown, and Jessica R. Hicks (Nathan Kelsey) of Olean; 12 grandchildren: Amaya, Alivia, Clevon Jr. and Addisyn Wofford, Abbey Lee, Kristen, Austin, Joey, Mira and Ava Kephart, Kyle Hatzell and Evelyn Kelsey; nine brothers and sisters: Joseph H. (Diane) Hicks Jr. and Wilford "Stubby" B. Hicks, both of Little Genesee, N.Y., Marcy M. (Sgt. Jacob) Sweeney of Mesa, Ariz/, Brian E. (Angela) Hicks of Boliver, N.Y., Faith Dombrowski and Quinton "Tim" T. Hicks, both of Olean, Hope M. Smith of Frewsburg, Cheryl L. (Darrell) Kellogg of Cuba, N.Y., and Daryl A. (Holly) Hicks of Olean.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor William Crosby will officiate.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
